The Society for Ethnobotany

Dear SEB Community,

While our 2020 Annual Conference had to be postponed until next summer, we know that it is still vitally important that we provide an opportunity for practitioners, researchers, and students at all stages to share their developing work with the ethnobotany and economic botany communities.

Therefore, we are very pleased to announce that we will be hosting a free online symposium on Friday, October 23 from 1-5 pm ET! For your convenience, the titles and sequence of talks will be released a few weeks ahead of the event.

In addition, we encourage you to share your work by submitting an abstract for consideration. We are especially interested in short fieldwork reports, developing projects, and less formal/early stage work that could benefit from feedback from the SEB community.

We expect to select 12 speakers for this event—each with 10-12 minutes to speak and 3-5 minutes for Q&A. If we have an abundance of applicants, we hope that we may hold additional events in the future.

Please send your title, author(s), and abstract (<300 words) to SEBabstracts@gmail.com by 11:59 pm EST on September 25th, 2020. Please title the subject of your email “SEB Abstract Submission”.
