Flyer for the Society for Ethnobotany (SEB) Student Café. Left column on a green background reads: “Student Café. Jonathan Dombrosky.” A short paragraph says: “Jonathan is an archaeologist and ethnobiologist who, as Environmental Archaeologist at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, uses big data to study human–environment interactions and food-gathering practices in the central Mesa Verde region of southwest Colorado.” Two QR codes at the bottom are labeled “Visit our blog” and “Registration link.” Right column shows a large headshot of Dr. Jonathan Dombrosky smiling in front of bookshelves and a dark cap with “Crow Canyon Archaeological Center.” At top: “Growing with Data: Getting Started in Ethnobiological Data Science.” Footer text (not pictured separately): “Friday, October 23, 2025, 1:00 pm Eastern Time (US), via Zoom.”

The SEB Student Cafés are a chance for students to learn and discuss specific areas of ethnobotany with experts whose careers focus on that area. These discussions are organized by the SEB Student Committee, and their goal is to broaden students’ perspectives and understanding of ethnobotanical work, to better inform their own research and career trajectory, and to build a professional network within their areas of interest.
